How should I proceed when jacking up a motorbike with the centre stand in relation to the automated shift assistant?

For motorbikes with automated shift assistant (ASA), it is important to jack up the vehicle correctly to prevent damage to the vehicle. Proceed as follows to correctly jack up your motorbike:

  1. Ensure that the stand area is level and firm.
  2. In case of road gradients, position the motorbike in the "uphill" direction and engage 1st gear.
  3. Press the emergency-off switch.

  4. The "P" icon for parking mode lights up in the display and the motorbike is secured against rolling away. ASA shift gear parking
  5. Switch off the ignition.
  6. Open the foot plate on the centre stand.

  7. Push the centre stand down on the foot plate, then jack up your motorbike.
  8. To lower: first fold in the centre stand and then the foot plate on the centre stand.

With the optional adaptive height control, the lift assistance (when the ignition is switched on) helps you to jack up the vehicle onto the centre stand. The effort required for jacking up is significantly reduced. When the centre stand is folded out, a sensor recognises the jacking-up request and simultaneously aligns the chassis accordingly.

Note: Repeated operation of the lift assistance can discharge the battery. The use of the lift assistance can only be repeated to a limited extent. The ignition must be switched off and on again for further attempts.
