Do the different riding modes (e.g. ENDURO) affect the shifting actions with the automated shift assistant?

If the automated shift mode "D" is active, shifting actions are carried out depending on the following parameters:

  • Riding mode (e.g. ROAD, DYNAMIC, ENDURO etc.).
  • Rotational speed.
  • Throttle grip actuation.
  • Lean angle.

The shifting actions adapt to the respective riding situation and dynamic requirements. Depending on the riding situation, the right gear with the optimum shift characteristics is always engaged.

Shifting actions depending on the riding mode:

  • ECO riding mode: Lowest rotational speed level, automated shifting for high efficiency.
  • RAIN, ROAD, ENDURO and ENDURO PRO riding modes: Optimum automated shifting, low to medium rotational speed level.
  • DYNAMIC and DYNAMIC PRO riding modes: Automated shifting for maximum propulsion. Highest rotational speed level.
  • DYNAMIC PRO and ENDURO PRO riding modes: Automated shifting can be customised. The shift characteristics can be adjusted accordingly using the adjustable throttle response.

The shifting speed always remains the same for all settings.

When braking and accelerating, the harmonious load reversals mean that vehicle unsteadiness is reduced. The braking torque is reduced and soft!
