Do I need to download maps to my smartphone for navigation with the BMW Motorrad Connected App or can I also navigate online via the mobile connection of my smartphone?

Currently, the navigation of the BMW Motorrad Connected App only works after downloading map data to your smartphone and not online. As a result, navigation also works reliably in regions with poor mobile connection and does not cause roaming charges abroad due to high data consumption.
