Can I remove the battery of the BMW CE 02 for charging?

Yes! The battery can be easily removed for charging, simply follow these steps:

1. Press the button on the right handlebar with the "lock" icon to unlock the seat.
2. Remove the seat and put it aside.
3. Disconnect the plug from each battery.
4. Open the hook and loop fastener.
5. Remove the batteries, they weigh approx. 13 kg each.
6. Connect the battery to the charger. The charger can be used both for the battery directly and for the vehicle.

Please note: The vehicle status (i.e. whether the CE 02 is switched on or off) is irrelevant.

Note: If only a single battery is charged and this results in a different "state of charge" of the two batteries, reduced peak power is to be expected! The display will then show you the "turtle" icon in yellow.
As soon as the same state of charge (of the batteries) is reached during the journey, the power reduction is cancelled. It is not possible to ride with just one on-board battery.
