As long as the indicator light of the radio-operated key is flashing, your BMW motorbike is searching for the radio-operated key. As soon as the key has been recognized, this display goes out.
If your BMW motorbike still has not found the radio-operated key after 1.5 minutes, the BMW motorbike turns off to save the battery.
The radio-operated key's range is approx. 1 meter.
Please note: If the radio-operated key is in the case or topcase, the range of the radio-operated key may be reduced.
The red indicator light on the instrument cluster on the motorbike will help you in this situation:
- If the indicator light flashes once, the key has been found
- If the indicator light flashes frequently, the key has not been found
- If the indicator light does not flash at all, either the vehicle battery is flat or the ignition button is defective
