- First disconnect the jacket from the power source.
- Remove the detachable electronics (including the control module), take out the inner jacket and empty the pockets. The permanently installed cables for the LED light strips and the favourite switch can remain in the jacket during cleaning.
- Now you can start cleaning the jacket. Use a damp cloth for this purpose. If very dirty, the jacket can be washed in the washing machine at 30-40 degrees on the gentle cycle. Use BMW Motorrad performance detergent or a liquid mild detergent, but do not use fabric softener. Then rinse sufficiently. After washing, the garment can be spun briefly. Hang the jacket to dry afterwards – at room temperature.
- Before reconnecting the electrical components after washing, make sure that the jacket is completely dry.
For cleaning the inner jacket:
It is best to wash it in a laundry bag, separate from the outer jacket.
