To connect to a communication system from another brand:
- Hold the middle button on your ConnectedRide Com U1 for 10 seconds until you hear "Configuration Menu".
- Navigate through the menu using the (+) and (-) buttons until you hear "universal intercom pairing" and a persistent double beep.
- Follow the instructions for the intercom pairing of the other communication system.
- Each device will look for a different system for the intercom as long as you hear the sound signal and see a red flashing LED on your ConnectedRide Com U1.
- Once they are found, you'll hear a beep on your ConnectedRide Com U1 and the LEDs will flash blue twice every 2 seconds.
Please note:
This connection can lead to limitations with other connections on your BMW motorcycle as well as with the audio quality of your ConnectedRide Com U1:
- Connection of TFT display and ConnectedRide Com U1 not possible
- Connection of smartphone and ConnectedRide Com U1 not possible
- Connection of Navigator VI and ConnectedRide Com U1 not possible
- Limited audio and range quality for "universal intercom pairing"
