A Bluetooth connection with your smartphone is required for the telephone and media functions. This is how you set up the connection:
- Select the "Connectivity Hub"
in the ConnectedRide Navigator.
- Click on "Connect new device" and then on "Smartphone"
. The Navigator now scans the surroundings for available smartphones. At this time, make sure that Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone.
- Select your smartphone.
- The pairing process starts. The verification of the device pairing depends on the smartphone or the operating system. Please follow the instructions on the screen.
- Please confirm the pairing and grant the necessary access to be able to use the full range of functions. Your smartphone is now connected to the ConnectedRide Navigator.

A Bluetooth connection is not sufficient for providing an Internet connection, for example to download maps, perform software updates or to take current traffic into account during navigation, because a Wi-Fi hotspot is required to provide a data connection. This can also be done via your smartphone using a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Important note:
If you already had a connection from your smartphone to your motorbike and now want to add the ConnectedRide Navigator:
Make sure that all existing connections from smartphone to motorbike have been deleted and start pairing your smartphone with the Navigator only.
If you still have problems pairing the devices, please check if you have already installed the latest software update. Here you can find out more.
