Was BMW ShiftCam technology installed in the M 1000 R (2023 model year)?

Yes, BMW ShiftCam technology is also used here to vary the valve timing and valve lift on the intake side, unlike on the S 1000 R. This is a three-part intake switching camshaft, which has 2 cams mounted on a shift segment for each valve to be actuated (each with a torque cam and a power cam, with optimally designed cam geometry).
The shifting rotational speed of the BMW ShiftCam engine on the M R is 9,000 rpm, as on the S 1000 RR. Below 9,000 rpm, load-dependent shifting takes place and when higher torque is required, shifting takes place to the torque cam.
