How do I open / close the aluminium case on the R 1300 GS Adventure or the R 1300 GS?

Open the aluminium case:

1. Turn the key to the "Open" position -> the aluminium case is unlocked.
2. Fully open the locking flap.
3. Open the aluminium case lid.
   

Close the aluminium case:

1. Close the aluminium case lid.
2. Fully close the locking flap.
3. Turn the key to the "LOCK" position -> the aluminium case is locked.

Remove the aluminium case lid:

1. Open the aluminium case as described above.
2. Detach the securing band.
   
3. Press the latch upwards and detach the aluminium case lid upwards.

Attach the aluminium case lid:

1. Press the latch upwards and hook the aluminium case lid downwards.
2. Attach the securing band.
3. Close the aluminium case as described above.
