Matching the selected riding mode, the permissible slip on the rear wheel is regulated by the DTC. Within the configuration of the RACE PRO riding modes, the regulation can be set in detail. For more information, see "Configuring RACE PRO riding modes" in the rider's manual.
- Powerslides are only possible if the target slip is set accordingly via the DTC rocker switch.
- Especially with new slick tyres, the grip level is so high that the engine power may not be sufficient for powerslides. The rider must take into account that they cannot ride a correspondingly tight line without a powerslide as with one.
- The subjectively perceived power slide can vary depending on the tyre, so that for some tyres setting 3 is appropriate and for others setting 2.
- Settings 2 and 3 are optimised for the racetrack and slick tyres.
- Setting 1 only includes slip control – the slide control is deactivated.
- Road settings Rain, Road and Dynamic are optimised for safety and stability.
- The controlled powerslide is a borderline stable riding manoeuvre and is strongly influenced by the rider's behaviour on the motorcycle as well as track conditions (grip level, bumps), environmental influences (wind) and the chassis and suspension setting (spring/dampers, tyres, tyre inflation pressure, tyre temperature).
