What is the advantage of M forged wheels compared to standard wheels?

With optimum strength, the M forged wheel is lighter – without add-on parts:

Forged wheel: front 2.8 / rear 3.9 kg (= 1.5 kg lighter than standard wheel)
Standard wheel: front 3.4 / rear 4.8 kg
