How do I profit from the engine drag torque control (MSR) in the S 1000 RR (from model year 2023)?

During heavy braking manoeuvres, when the “rear becomes light”, the drag torque of the engine (depending on the engine-brake setting) is sufficient to create so much slip at the rear wheel that an unwanted drift occurs.
The engine drag torque control monitors the rear wheel slip and specifically reduces the drag torque to keep the vehicle stable.
The MSR takes into account lean angle and slip angle (slip angle is calculated from the steering angle) to detect and reduce instability during braking at an early stage.

In order to be able to adjust the engine torque as finely as possible, the regulation – as in motorsport (WSBK / EWC) – takes place through cylinders 1 and 2.
