How does the continuous size adjustment of the Vario luggage system on the R 1300 GS work?

The size can be continuously adjusted via a handwheel at the top of the interior of the case / topcase. To reduce the volume, turn the adjuster knob clockwise; to expand the luggage compartment, turn it anticlockwise.

Note: Before adjusting the size, please empty the contents.
