How do I set parking mode "P" on my motorbike with the automated shift assistant?

Proceed as follows to activate parking mode "P":

1. Engage 1st gear (in case of road gradients, position the motorbike in the uphill direction).
2. Press the emergency-off switch.
   
   (Alternatively, with the engine switched off and the transmission in neutral position "N": Press the gearshift lever down)
3. The "P" icon lights up on the display and parking mode is active.
     
4. Switch off the ignition.
5. The motorbike is now in parking mode and is therefore secured against rolling away.
6. To release, switch to the neutral position "N" or start the engine.

Note:
In rare cases, the position of the gear wheels in the transmission may prevent the roll-away protection from engaging. In this case, engagement of the roll-away protection has failed and the "P" icon flashes on the display. Move your motorbike forwards or backwards briefly to eliminate the fault. The "P" icon appears on the display and the vehicle is now secured against rolling away.
