To authorise or revoke the authorisation of Connected Services for your motorcycle, first note the following:
- Make sure that you are logged in to your BMW Motorrad Connected app with your BMW ID and that your motorcycle and smartphone are connected via Bluetooth.
- If possible, stay outdoors and avoid enclosed spaces with thick concrete walls.
- Your smartphone should not be connected to your motorcycle via the Cradle.
How to authorise Connected Services for your motorcycle:
- Start the BMW Motorrad Connected app and tap on the cockpit icon

- Select the tab for "Connected Services"
- For activation, select the blue "AUTHORISE" field.
This authorisation makes you the main or secondary user of your motorcycle. If the motorcycle is already assigned to a main user, you can reset the assignment during the authorisation process:
- If you select the "Main user" option, the previous main user is automatically removed.
- If you select the "Secondary user" option, the main user remains unchanged.
Note: If you have authorised Connected Services for your motorcycle, you can only delete your motorcycle from "My Garage" once you have revoked the Connected Services authorisation. Read more here.
