The device to which you should connect your ConnectedRide Com P1 depends on which devices you want to use or are available to you:
BMW Motorrad recommends using the Com P1 in conjunction with the BMW ConnectedRide ecosystem – namely the Connected app or the ConnectedRide Navigator – as these are perfectly integrated with one another.

If you are using a smartphone without the Connected app, you can pair the Com P1 and the smartphone with the motorcycle. However, it is not possible to operate the Com P1 communication system via the motorcycle. In this case, you operate the Com P1 directly using the 4 buttons on the device/helmet.
