What connections are possible between the ConnectedRide Com P1 and the various devices?

Your ConnectedRide Com P1 can be connected to the ConnectedRide Navigator, your smartphone, the TFT display and other communication systems via various connection methods.

  • ConnectedRide Navigator:
    • Classic Bluetooth: The connection is used to transmit voice calls and media. It is represented by the telephone and music icons.
    • Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE): Using this connection, you can control the functions of your ConnectedRide Com P1 via the ConnectedRide Navigator. It is represented by the helmet icon with a signal strength bar.
  • Smartphone:
    • Classic Bluetooth: The connection is used to transmit voice calls and media. To do this, pair the ConnectedRide Com P1 via the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone.
    • Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE): This connection enables the ConnectedRide Com P1 to be controlled via the app and allows firmware updates. You can also connect the ConnectedRide Com P1 via the Connectivity Hub in the BMW Motorrad Connected app.
  • TFT display:
    • Classic Bluetooth: The connection enables voice calls and media playback, as well as control of the volume. It is indicated by the Bluetooth and helmet icons.
  • Connection with other communication systems
    • Open / Group Mesh Intercom 2.0 and 3.0: Radio link between your ConnectedRide Com P1 and other Sena-compatible communication systems. Mesh Intercom 2.0 and 3.0 refer to different generations of Mesh technology and are (backward-)compatible.
    • Bluetooth Intercom: Radio link between your ConnectedRide Com P1 and other communication systems, such as those from Cardo.
