To install your smartphone in the ConnectedRide Cradle, please follow these steps:
Check whether the Cradle is suitable for the size of your smartphone:
- suitable minimum dimensions 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9 mm,
- suitable maximum dimensions 162.5 x 78.1 x 8.8 mm.
If your smartphone has dimensions that are below the specified minimum dimensions or exceed the maximum dimensions, your device is not intended for use in the ConnectedRide Cradle.
- If necessary, remove the protective cover of your smartphone.
- Ensure the screw in the lower right corner of the cradle is open and that the “arms” are fully extended.
- Turn your smartphone so that the charging socket points to the right.
- Insert your smartphone at the top left edge of the cradle.
- Close the cradle arms as described in the tutorial in the BMW Motorrad Connected app, as well as in the following video.
