I want to connect my smartphone to the ConnectedRide Cradle for the first time. What do I need to bear in mind?

1. Switch on your motorbike first.
2. The cradle and smartphone can then be paired.
3. To do this, insert the cradle into the navigation preparation and open the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone. Activate Bluetooth.
4. Open the Connectivity Hub in the BMW Motorrad Connected app and click on "Connect a new device" to pair your ConnectedRide Cradle.
5. Select your cradle and wait until the message "Connected" appears. The pairing of the cradle and your smartphone is now complete and the connection is activated automatically each time it is used.

Notes in case of no direct connection:

• Check whether you have given the BMW Motorrad Connected app all the necessary permissions.
• If you can't find your cradle in the "Connectivity Hub", check if it is already connected to another smartphone. The cradle can only be connected to a single smartphone at the same time. If necessary, deactivate the Bluetooth function on the other smartphone.
• If you still can't set up the connection, disconnect or delete all Bluetooth connections on the smartphone and cradle. See also this article. Now try to set up the connection as described above.
