How can I import a route into the ConnectedRide Navigator?

There are 2 ways to import a route:
Import via the BMW Motorrad Connected app

  1. Start the route import in the BMW Motorrad Connected app. This saves the import in your BMW ID Cloud. Here you can find out more about the BMW ID
  2. As soon as your ConnectedRide Navigator is online, it automatically synchronises with your BMW ID
  3. In the "Routes" menu, you can now see all the routes imported or planned in the app, which are then also saved directly on the device for offline navigation

Import via computer or Android smartphone

  1. Connect your Navigator to a computer or Android smartphone via a cable using the USB-C port (depending on the device and installed software)
  2. The Navigator appears as a data carrier. Now copy the desired .gpx file into the "Routes" folder
  3. Press "Start" in the navigation section of your Navigator Destination Icon on the ConnectedRide Navigator
  4. Under "Routes" at the top right, click on the "Options Menu" Submenu Icon from the ConnectedRide Navigatorand select "Route Import" Route Import Icon on the ConnectedRide Navigator
  5. Select the desired route to import
  6. Depending on the content of the copied .gpx file, you have different options for importing the route: Navigation by means of waypoints or anchor points. Select how you want to import the route by ticking the box and confirm your selection Confirm Icon on the ConnectedRide Navigator. You can find more details on the various import options and their differences here
  7. Your route is now imported to your ConnectedRide Navigator

Here you can find out more about the options for displaying your planned route in the navigation.
