Generally:
- Do not heat tyres for more than 3 hours, otherwise their properties may change.
- If the supply cable is damaged, remove the plug from the power socket immediately and do not use the tyre heater until it is repaired.
- If the tyre heater has cracks or wear on one or more spots on the inner and/or outer surface, stop using it. Before each use, at best experienced personnel should carry out a visual check of the tyre heater, for example to check the surfaces.
- At best, always transport the M tyre heater in the storage bags provided for this purpose, avoiding pinching or straining the bags too much.
Before the heating process / To prepare the heating process:
- After mounting the tyre heaters, make sure that they can move freely towards the wheel trims, especially if accessory wheel trims are fitted. Too small distances can lead to heat damage.
- When plugged in, electricity immediately flows and the tyre heaters warm up. Plug in only after the tyre heater has been closed and placed on the rubber of the tyre to be heated. Otherwise there is a risk of injury and additionally the tyre heaters can be irrevocably damaged.
During the heating process:
- Do not touch the tyre heater with your bare hands during operation. Even after the power supply is disconnected, heat and voltage insulating protective gloves must be worn to remove the tyre heater from the tyre.
- The tyre heater must not have any ground contact! The heat could accumulate and cause burn holes. This means that the motorcycle must not stand on the tyre heater during the heating process!
After the heating process:
- Always remove the electrical plug from the socket before removing the tyre heater from the tyres.
- Store the M tyre heater on a surface far from someone else's access so that it can cool naturally.
- Do not force-cool the M tyre heater using liquid or gaseous agents.
- Before the M tyre heaters are rolled up and packed into the storage bag, always let them cool completely. The tyre heaters may only be rolled up cold!
