How do I remove the aluminium top box from the R 1300 GS Adventure or R 1300 GS?

To remove the aluminium topcase, proceed as follows:

1. Open the aluminium topcase.
2. Unlock the protective cap and remove it from the holder in the aluminium topcase.
3. Close the aluminium topcase.
4. Turn the key in the lock to the "RELEASE" position.
5. Locking flap pops open, please open fully.
6. Remove the aluminium topcase from the holder.
7. Close the locking flap completely.
8. The key automatically jumps to the "POINT" marking position.
9. Remove the key.
10. Attach the protective cap to the magnetic plug connection on the motorbike. Before doing so, check that the protective cap and the magnetic plug connection are not contaminated or damaged.

It is best to store the aluminium topcase in a clean and dry place.
